1. Agreement to terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Eyespender, operated by Astericlabs LLP ("we", "us", "our").

By creating an account, checking the acceptance box at registration, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The service

Eyespender helps you track subscriptions, manage renewal reminders, store credentials in an encrypted vault (optional), use team sharing features on eligible plans, and connect a browser extension.

We may add, change, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable. The Service is provided on an "as available" basis.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a binding contract under applicable law to use the Service.

You represent that information you provide is accurate and that you will keep your account credentials secure.

4. Your account

You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@astericlabs.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, pose security risks, or remain inactive for extended periods where permitted by law.

5. Plans, billing, and payments

Free and paid plans are described on our pricing pages. Paid subscriptions renew according to the billing cycle you select unless cancelled before renewal.

Payments are processed by Razorpay. By subscribing to a paid plan, you also agree to Razorpay's applicable terms. Prices are shown in INR unless stated otherwise; taxes may apply as required by law.

Refunds are handled in accordance with our refund policy published at checkout or as required by applicable consumer protection law. Chargebacks made in bad faith may result in account suspension.

6. Credential vault

The vault encrypts sensitive fields on your device. You are solely responsible for your vault passphrase. We cannot recover a lost passphrase or decrypt vault data without it.

Do not store information in the vault that you are not legally permitted to hold. The vault is a convenience tool, not a substitute for professional security advice.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to violate third-party rights.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service except as permitted by law.
• Upload malware, spam, or harmful content.
• Resell or sublicense the Service without our written consent.
• Use automated means to create accounts or abuse free-tier limits.

8. Browser extension

The optional browser extension connects to your account to import or sync subscription data you authorise. You control which sites you use it on.

Extension availability may vary by browser and site. We do not guarantee detection of every subscription on every website.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including software, design, logos, and content (excluding your data), is owned by Astericlabs LLP or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the Service for personal or internal business purposes according to your plan.

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a licence to host, process, and display your content solely to operate the Service.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is for informational and organisational purposes. We do not provide financial, legal, or tax advice. Subscription amounts, renewal dates, and detected charges may be inaccurate - always verify with your providers.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) INR 5,000.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Astericlabs LLP, its partners, and employees from claims arising from your misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion through account settings or by contacting support.

We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by nature should survive (e.g. liability limits, governing law) will survive.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably by contacting us. Failing that, courts in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence.

15. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-app notice.

Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
